This week Capt. Nate Foster from the Company B, 2nd General Support Aviation Battalion will tell us about the upcoming deployment of Company B, 2nd General Support Aviation Battalion, “Beyond the Yellow Ribbon” features Operation Minnesota Nice, we’ll visit “The Commissioner’s Corner” to learn about County Veterans Service Officers from the Commissioner of the Minnesota Department of Veterans Affairs and finally, Historian Stephen Osman joins us to talk about Minnesota during the Dakota Conflict.

This week we get an inside look at the role Minnesotans are playing in the training of Afghan security forces, Minnesota’s Adjutant General discusses the way ahead for the Minnesota National Guard, we find out what it takes to become a Yellow Ribbon community and we discover the Minnesota Commanders’ Task Force. Guests include: Maj. Rob Mattila of the Minnesota National Guard, Annette Kuyper of Beyond the Yellow Ribbon, Reggie Worlds of the Minnesota Department of Veteran’s Affairs, Al Holtan of the Commanders’ Task Force and Stephen Osman of the Minnesota Military Museum.

This week we feature the Soldiers of the 34th Red Bull Infantry Division Band, opportunities for Veterans to start small businesses, upcoming Veterans Day events in your area and finally, one of our states most historic military units, the First Minnesota. Guests include: Chief Warrant Officer Trygve Skaar from the 34th Infantry Division Red Bull Band, Jim Finley for the Minnesota Department of Employment & Economic Development (DEED), Gilbert Acevedo from the Minnesota Department of Veterans Affairs, Stephen Osman from the Minnesota Military Museum and Lt. Col. Kevin Olson from the Minnesota National Guard.
