This week, we discover the remarkable story of Master Sgt. Eric Marts and his life after begin blinded in combat and Luke Hekkila of Twin Cities Public Television (TPT) talks about Homes for Heroes, their new documentary on Minnesota’s Veterans Homes. We also talk about TPT’s past projects including Iraq & Back and future plans to cover Minnesota’s Agribusiness Development Team.

This week Col. Ed Nakasone shares his firsthand account of the attacks on Pearl Harbor, and Master Sgt. Mike McElhiney takes us to Afghanistan in 2001, with his Special Forces’ team as they fight the Taliban with a then little known leader, Hamid Karzai.

This week we talk with Dr. Melissa Polusny from the Minneapolis V.A. Heath Care System about the Readiness and Resilience in National Guard Soldiers (RINGS) Project and we take a look at Memorial Day events around the state you can attend, with a special look at the State Veterans Cemetery with Director David Swantek.
