This week we recorded the show live at the Minnesota State Fair on Military Appreciation Day. The U.S. Army, Navy, Air Force and Marines were well represented at the KTLKState Fair 2012 booth. Minnesota National Guard, Adjutant General, Maj. Gen. Richard Nash was our first guest and we found out about what the Army and Guard in Minnesota was focusing on. We also had Navy CMD Denise Spainer on the show and she gave us the run down on Naval Operations originating from our state and told us about the Navy Ball.  Marine Command Sgt. Maj. Duane Hauer talked to about recent Marine Deployments and their popular Toys For Tots program. Air Force Greg Greg Haase wrapped up another great show at the fair with information about  Air Force and Air Wing operations, recent deployments and current deployments.  One topic every leader said they were focusing on is Veteran’s employment.

This week we talk about the evolving role of women in our armed forces with the Minnesota National Guard’s Chief of Staff (Air) Col. Deon Ford and we’ll find out about loans of up to $100,000 available for veteran entrepreneurs with Nancy Libersky &  Thomas Osborne of the Small Business Administration and John Leschak of Minnwest Bank. Doug Bley also joins us for an update from the flag line of the MInnesota Patriot Guard.
