This week, after a distinguished 42 yearlong career serving our state and nation, the last seven years as Minnesota’s Adjutant General, Lieutenant General Larry Shellito has retired. We’ll hear from him and just a few of the people his leadership has affected. We’ll also explore Agent Orange and the new benefits available for our Vietnam Veterans and finally, we’re turning back the clock 150 years to the Minnesota home front during our Civil War. This week we get an inside look at the role Minnesotans are playing in the training of Afghan security forces, Minnesota’s Adjutant General discusses the way ahead for the Minnesota National Guard, we find out what it takes to become a Yellow Ribbon community and we discover the Minnesota Commanders’ Task Force.
